Sometimes it's easiest to begin with the walls of your baby's room. Contrasting or matching baby nursery accessories can look great with just about any color, but if you aren't sure, take along a paint sample as you shop. Better yet, take a small piece of wood, paint it the nursery's color, and stuff it in your purse. With a larger sample, you'll have a better idea of how an accessory will look.

Maybe you've already scoped out a few baby nursery accessories and you're waiting on them to go on clearance. Depending upon the store, you can find some great bargains if you are patient.

Target: This popular department store runs some great clearance sales, and many of the best clearance items aren't even advertised. You can find out more about Target's clearance schedule at the Look What I Found shopping boards at MyCoupons. Try to make a Target run every week or so if you notice items on clearance in the store. While Target typically starts its clearance at 15% to 30%, items can be discounted as much as 75% before they are salvaged. Occasionally, you may find something marked as much as 90% off, too!
Wal-Mart: Wal-Mart offers lots of great baby nursery accessories at often discounted prices. Be sure and check the endcaps of aisles for additional clearance items.
Kohls: Kohls is another store that usually offers great clearance sales on items all over the store, including baby nursery accessories. Watch your local adds for sale dates, and periodically check out the store's Website as well.
JC Penney: If you think JC Penney is too pricey for your budget, think again! Seasonal clearance on lots of baby items makes shopping at JC Penney often very affordable!
