Bowling Baby Bottles
Arrange 10 baby bottles in a triangle shape, and have each guest “bowl” with a small ball. The guest who has the highest score wins a door prize.
Stuffed Shirt
Blow some small sized balloons up and have guests try to stuff their shirts with the balloons. The guest who can stuff the most balloons wins!
The Price is Right
This game is taken right from the popular game show. Choose 10 to 20 baby products and place them on a table. Give each guest some paper and a pencil, and instruct them to guess how much each item is. The guest with the most correct guesses wins!
Is It Mom or Dad?
Give guests a Xeroxed sheet of events that happened to either the mom or dad-to-be. Have the guests try to match each event to the correct person. The person with the most correct matches wins!
Pin the Diaper
Draw a large picture of a baby on a poster board. Create a diaper out of construction paper, and place double-sided tape on the back of the diaper. Blindfold guests, and have them try to place the diaper on baby’s bottom.
Ring Toss
Set up a series of bottle nipples on a flat surface. Be sure you allow several inches between each nipple. Now have guests stand back several feet and try to toss nipple rings so that they’ll land on the nipple. This can be very difficult but fun!
Distracting Mom
Have two or three guests compete at the same time. The object of this game is for each of the competitors to complete a list of tasks, such as filling baby bottles, changing diapers, and folding clothes, in the quickest amount of time and despite all of the distractions. The “distractions” will be other guests shouting out things, such as “Supper is burning!”, “The baby is crying!”, “Answer the doorbell!”
What’s That Song?
Guests are given a sheet of paper, and they must write down as many song titles with the word “baby” in them as possible. This works well with teams, and this game can also be adapted for books, TV shows, and movies.
Parent Trivia
Create a list of trivia questions about the parents-to-be. For example, “How old are they?”, “Where did they meet?” “What is their favorite restaurant?” “What is their favorite hobby?” The guest who guesses the most questions right wins a door prize.
What’s That Food?
Open a variety of baby food jars. Be sure to remove the labels before you begin. Now have guests taste the food and try to guess its identity.
Dirty Gift Swap
This game is always a favorite. You’ll need to have enough prizes on hand so that everyone has a gift. Be sure they’re all wrapped, and place them in the center of the room. Let each guests draw a number, with the number one going first. That guest will need to choose a prize from the pile and open it. The next guest can either “steal” that gift from the first person or choose a new gift from the pile. The game is played until all the gifts are chosen.
Stinky Diaper Game
Each guest is given a diaper. Only one of the diapers has “baby poop” made out of peanut butter and melted chocolate. Have all of the guests open their diapers at one time, and the guest with the stinky diaper wins a door prize!
