Personalize It

If you already know the gender of your baby, and you've already chosen a name, then personalizing a baby book is easy! There are many different stores which offer personalized baby books, or you can purchase a book and take it to be personalized at an engraving or graphic arts shop.

There are many different ways to personalize a baby book. Obviously, you'll probably want to have your baby's name on the front of the book, but you could also add your name and the name of the baby's other parent. If you wait until after the baby is born, then you could even add her birth date.

Colors and Materials

Although there are many adorable baby books for sale in discount shops and department stores, you can search for more unique baby books or even create one yourself.

Beautiful fabrics can be used to enhance the look of a personalized baby book, and there are many online stores and speciality shops that offer a great selection of unique books. Satin has become a popular choice for baby books, but other materials such as chenille, silk, seersucker, etc. make choices.

You can choose the more common colors, such as blue or pink, or you could branch out to lavender, yellow, rose, or color combinations, such as mint/pink, yellow/blue, lavender/pink, black/white, etc. Stripes, checks, and other patterns are also becoming more popular as choices for baby books. In fact, you can get as creative as you like if you are creating a baby book on your own!

Some websites, such as Baby Zone show you how to create your own personalized baby book on your own computer. While other sites, such as Jenni Bick Bookbinding offer a scrapbook for a personalized baby book.
