Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
From LoveToKnow Baby
What do toddlers love to do on their birthdays? Well, they love to eat cake and open presents! Are you having trouble deciding on themes for your toddler's birthday party?
Animal Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
Toddlers love to pretend, and most of them love animals. So, why not invite your child's friends to an animal birthday party? There are so many things you can do with this idea. It doesn't have to be Halloween for your child's guests to dress like their favorite animal characters. In fact, you can have an animal parade! Each child can come dressed as his or her favorite animal. Play some parade music, and let the children march to the beat!
They don't have to come dressed up, though. Instead, have all of the supplies ready to help each child create his or her own favorite animal mask. You'll need lots of helping hands for this project, so be sure you get other parents involved.
In addition to these activities, you could let each child decorate her plate and cup by adding animal stickers that you provide. Purchase or bake a cake in the form of an animal or decorated as a zoo or farm. Let the children sing a chorus of their favorite animal sounds! The party favors could include yummy animal crackers!
Rainbow Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
Do you need some toddler birthday party ideas? If so, keep reading! Invite your toddler's guests to come dressed in the colors of the rainbow. Let them eat rainbow cake with rainbow sherbert. Help them make their own rainbows to take home. Purchase some chocolate gold coins and place them in cups or little plastic pots, then help each child find his or her own pot at the end of the rainbow!
Cowboy/Cowgirl Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
Invite your little cowpokes to the cowboy/cowgirl rodeo party. You can purchase inexpensive western hats to give as party favors. Gather supplies that the children can use to make their own sherrif's badges. Pull out some miniature brooms, and let the children gallop around the yard. If you are really creative, draw and cut out some horses heads for the children to glue to the brooms, then add yarn for the tails. Play some fun western music for the children to dance to.
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
This party will focus on modes of transporation. You can purchase inexpensive, plastic planes, trains, and automobiles to give as party favors. Order or make a cake decorated to match the theme. Have several cut-outs already prepared of each one of the vehicles, and invite the children to color and decorate them. Then have a transportation parade as each child marches or flies around the room, making their favorite mode of transportation sound!
Last year we had just a train party and we made a large train cake using the same idea the website above suggest. We made Railroad Crossing signs out of yellow poster board and taped to a dowel rod to stick in the yard. We ordered conductor hats, red bandanas and train whistles from Oriental training. These usually come a dozen in a pkg. Clear party favor bags included: wood train whistle - we wrote their name on it, a couple pcs candy, a train craft project plus they all took home a hat and bandana.
Colors of plates, napkins and silverware: red, blue and yellow. We are had balloons in all those colors.
The party was a blast and easy to do. It was tailored to my son and what he likes not just the usual character parties.
Scavenger Hunt Toddler Party Ideas
Even very young children love to hunt for objects. You can give each child a sheet of paper with a picture of the items they need to search for. When they find each item, they can place it in their basket. Use inexpensive plastic toys or candy, and make sure you have enough for each person to find one of each. Give them small, plastic magnifying glasses or butterfly nets to signify that they are now explorers!

-- Contributed by: Susie1506Hi! I am starting an event planning business in Ararat, VA and upon creating my website I saw a picture of the little girl with the birthday hat eating a cupcake and I was wondering if I could use it on my website, not as my own, but as an illustration of birthday planning.
Thank you!!
