As the proud mom of a 32 month old who was born a premmie it gives me great joy as i reflect to state that he is now perfect and healthy, it's so hard to recogn ize now that he was a 3lb premmie who was born at 34 weeks..Our 6 week struggle in the hospital made me the strong and determined woman that I am now..I owe so much to this "Little Miracle" who has taught me so much and I encourage other moms to pray and have faith and to draw strength from these miracles..

As the mom of a 27 weeker(2LBS 3OZ's), I thought that being a first-time mom would be stressful enough.I spent a little over 2 months in the hospital, and my daughter also spent 2 months. The day she came home was the best day of my life. These preemies are a blessing, I feel. Although I hate the many obstacles she and I have gone through, it has made me a better woman/mother and speaks volumes to her character. Seeing her reach all her milestones, and watching her grow and learn everyday lets me know that everything happens for a reason, and everything will be okay. I look forward to what each new day will bring, and am constantly motivated to give her every opportunity I can, and be the best mother I can be.

Lisa, I think as parents we always feel guilty over something. That is natural. Enjoy your time with your daughters, now, and try not to beat yourself up over anything else. You're doing the best you can, and that's all any of us can do!-Susie

My daughter was 4lbs 6oz, I know that to some parents thats not little, but to me it was. She had no problems whatsoever. I worried about her constantly and had a lot of other problems going on in my marriage and my husband did not have a job until the week she was born. She was born a month early, she was born a day before her sisters birthday. So, I am blessed with 2 girls. But after she was born, to be exact, a week after she was born, I checked out, literally. I don't remember the first three months of my childs life. I guess you call it postpardome and anxiety. I have sought help and taking meds. But, I really am sad about missing my daughters first three months in the world, the doctor says not to dwell, but I do. I really love her and the other sis, but no one understand what I went through and still going through. I go to counseling and all that. But, its like my heart is broken. I really love being a mom and love my girls. She is 15 lbs now @ 6 months old and I am proud, her development is fine and all. But, I still dwell on the things that happened.

Our baby, dani, was born at 24 weeks 1 day. She weighed 1 lb 1.5 ounces. We were in the hopital for 73 days. She left the hospital weighing 3bs 7 ounces. Now she just turned 4 months abd 1 week. Her corrected age is 1 week. God's mercy and grace carried us through many difficult days. Now dani weighs 6 pounds and 3 ounces. For any other mothers and fathers, please keep praying and hoping. God answers prayers!
