Stephy, It may not mean anything at all, but you should talk to your pediatrician about your concerns. He or she can help you determine if anything is wrong.-Susie
-- Contributed by: Susie1506My daughter was born 2 and a half months early she is now 4 months and behind in newborn milestones I don't know what this means?
-- Contributed by: stephyTiffany, One month really isn't that early. A typical gestation is 40 weeks, but babies are often born anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks. A baby born one month early should still be caught up with a full term baby by the first and certainly the second birthday.-Susie
-- Contributed by: Susie1506i was just informed that i was 1 month eaerly when i was born. what is the difference in the brain from a 9mo. old and a 8 mo. old baby? is there any learning disabilities?
-- Contributed by: tiffanyBusy Mummy, You are absolutely right to let your little guy continue to move at his own pace. He'll get the hang of it eventually. As always, if you have any concerns, contact your pediatrician, but he sounds like he is doing just fine!-Susie
-- Contributed by: Susie1506my wee man was born at 28 weeks and 5 days he is trying to crawl and he's 10months (8 months corrected) he can move about on his tummy but has trouble going forward and getting up on his knees any ideas on how to help?? or should i just let him carry on at his own pace??
-- Contributed by: busymummyx2Sarah, In your son's case, he may be so use to the texture of the baby food, that he doesn't want to try anything new. You may need to experiment with various textures of table food. Use lots of praise when he tries something, and let him see how much you enjoy the food as well. If you have concerns about his development, however, you need to talk to your pediatrician.-Susie
-- Contributed by: Susie1506my son was born pematurely. he is now 20months. he still will not move from babyfood, and took till 15months to begin walking.

Good luck with your baby..
-- Contributed by: Twin BoysAs long as your daughter continues to gain weight, she should be fine. However, you should address this issue with your doctor. If your daughter is on formula, the pediatrician may want to look at changing it. -Susie

-- Contributed by: Anand KedareNatasha, This is such a serious issue that I'm going to advise you to see your pediatrician. Remember-How early your baby was born may be an indicator of how delayed her development will be. Your pediatrician should be charting her milestones, and you really should discuss this issue with him or her.-Susie
