Hether, You don't say how old your daughter is, but one method is to have her repeat her sentences again without whining. Do not respond to her whining at all, and tell her you will only respond if she speaks without whining.-Susie

i cann't get my daughter to quit whinning she whines about everything no matter what it is all day long everyday how do i get her to stop

This is another way to look at it. I do think that you have to walk a fine line and try to find a healthy balance. I don't know if "lots" of emotion is the best idea, however. The key is to show your child how to handle issues in a healthy manner.-Susie

I've read several articles stating that you should show lots of emotion in front of the toddler when they are upset to show that you sympathize with them, acting calm may indicate that you don't understand their feelings. 2 theories but both discuss talking to the toddler.
